WHO WE ARE…

Agathopsis answers to the vision of Richard L. Marrash for a world where people see goodness, where everyone respects the image of God in his fellow human beings. This vision takes fervent inspiration from the passage in the Gospel of Matthew where Christ declares, “The good man, from the good treasury of the heart brings forth what is good, and the wicked man, from the wicked treasury brings forth what is wicked.” (Matt., 6:13)

Richard fashioned the name from two Greek words, agathos, “good,” and opsis, “vision”. This reflects our commitment to see the good in life in all its natural and cultural diversity. For us this is not a simple cliche, it is a personal philosophy and a practice. To achieve the good in life, for ourselves and for our fellows, requires a vision of the good, Agathopsis …

WHAT WE DO…

Agathopsis provides specialized knowledge resources for writers, members of helping professions, and cross-cultural educators, with special focus on Middle Eastern languages and cultures. We provide briefings and background reports as well as cross-cultural orientation in a variety of official and commercial contexts.We also provide training and translation services in Arabic and French.
